We are officially in our winter training season now that it's getting dark sooner, but we're looking forward to some great events next year. As usual, we'll be participating in the Atlanta-to-Athens ride, the MS Atlanta Walk in Piedmont Park, and the MS Atlanta ride in Pine Mountain.

• Walk MS Georgia celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2010 with nine events throughout the state. We participated in the Atlanta walk in beautiful Piedmont Park, an event that raised over $340,000 in the fight against MS.

• Atlanta to Athens is the newest edition to the Bike MS cycling series in Georgia. The inaugural two-day event in 2010 featured 84-mile and century routes, pacing riders on a winding course from Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta to the Classic City of Athens.

• The MS Atlanta ride is annually our biggest event, featuring three route options on Saturday and two on Sunday to suit a variety of skill levels. Our 37-member team in 2010 helped raise over $17,000. The 2011 ride marks the 25th anniversary of the event, so we're looking for even bigger numbers!

We'll pick up our weekly training rides again with daylight savings time and have a few other community-related events coming soon, so check our complete ride and event calendar below.
